Rick & Joe
The Muskegon Tour Company is led by Rick and Joe, lifelong Muskegon area residents and your Muskegon area insiders! With years of experience as a business leader and teacher, both Rick and Joe are experienced storytellers who pride themselves on engaging and interactive tours.
At heart, we are adventurers who enjoy discovering and exploring new places and learning the stories that make the places unique. We started the Muskegon Tour Company to bring these same kinds of experiences to others.
We are both passionate about the Muskegon area and have provided countless volunteer hours for local cultural sites, festivals, and events. Our personal stories and history are inextricably linked with the Muskegon area.
We are proud to share our love of Muskegon by helping others experience the area’s history, cultural sites, art, historic homes and buildings, food, beverages, and more! We love meeting new people and hope they will fall in love with Muskegon the way we have!

All of our tours are built with accessibility in mind. We would like everyone to have a guided experience with us. Note: Each tour’s detail page calls out the anticipated effort level. Low=little walking or standing. Medium=moderate walking or standing. High=mostly walking or standing, climbing stairs, etc.

Most of our tours take place indoors or in sheltered locations and will not be cancelled due to inclement weather. However, if you select a tour that has a significant outdoor component, a delay is more likely than a cancellation.

Absolutely! We would be happy to create a custom tour for you. You can start with our listed tours for ideas, or present a completely new idea. We will take it from there and create an itinerary just for you!
